A deliciously explicit addition to my collection of early-1900s photographs featuring the incomparable Il Serpente, ‘The snake’ - the most naturally blessed and beautifully, brazenly seductive of all Vincenzo Galdi’s models.
A true and deserved star of early erotic photography, this beautiful model is one of my favourites (indeed, I chose him as the avatar to represent this whole collection). We have seen this sensual photograph by Vincenzo Galdi before, but not so large nor so detailed; do take a closer look at the full size image to fully appreciate such an exquisite man!
Even the faintly ridiculous costume cannot detract our attention (nor that, it seems, of the model himself) from the fact this man is magnificently, wondrously, well-endowed. Nicknamed, for obvious reasons, Il Serpente (‘The Snake’), an admiring Vincenzo Galdi employed his talents many a time, the resulting pictures varying from the tastefully artistic to the deliberately pornographic. We’ve even seen him in the extraordinary guise of cigarette-smoking clown before. A true star of early gay erotica.
An extraordinarily erotic nude by Vincenzo Galdi, early 20th Century, and one of my favourites. Although I’ve shown you this very photograph before, today I had the delightful fortune to discover a much larger copy, and am sure you’ll agree it’s well worth a closer look - click here for the full size as Tumblr is a contrary beastie and many large images don’t display nearly as impressively as they ought.
I’m reasonably sure this is my particular favourite of Vincenzo Galdi’s beautiful male models once more, reaching an impressive seven photographs of him alone - perhaps he was a favourite of Mr Galdi, too. I say ‘alone’, as we also have the pleasure of seeing him in the company of another gentleman.
Delighted to discover a sixth picture of this young man, my favourite of Vincenzo Galdi’s splendid Italian models, with his intensely erotic sensual poses, handsome face, and beautiful body, he really does make the perfect model for inspiring both aesthetic appreciation and homoerotic lust. He would be the poster-boy for my collection was I not already so enamoured of the pretty little Victorian with flowers in his hair!
A fifth photograph of the same lovely young Italian, by Vincenzo Galdi - I’m delighted to have found more of him, such effortless ease and confidence in his poses, and so photogenic!
I believe I am developing something of a crush on this model.
A model we may recognise here, our fine friend the master of the subtly erotic pose (last seen here). I love how he’s that little bit plumper than most of the models in this era, soft flesh rather than prominant bones, and though it seems rather impolite to draw attention to it, he’s beautifully well-endowed, too.
Photograph by Vincenzo Galdi, I have a few more of his lined up to share soon.
Two photographs of the same elegant and handsome model, this the more erotic pose.
Two photographs of the same elegant and handsome model, this the more classical pose.
